Breathing Exercises

Breathing is Life. Many of us do not breathe deeply enough thus depriving our systems of life giving oxygen. My Dad who is 94 puts his longevity down to breathing deeply every day, chewing his food 30 times and enjoying a whisky!!! Breath fills our lungs with vital oxygen. It is the first thing we do when we enter the world and the last thing we let go of when we leave. Many cultures promote different techniques of breathing. Yoga employs many methods. I will explain a few here under this heading for health and healing. It can also be a meditative practise.
